About me

Hi friend, I’m so happy you found me!

I’m Yolanda, and I hope to be your next photographer. I am born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, but moved to San Diego 12 years ago together with my husband. We have three kids, Oscar, and identical twins Alma and Elise.

With a background in graphic design the step to photography was not very far. Already in middle school I was playing around with a film camera and developed my own photos in the dark room during art class and had so much fun doing it. Today, shooting and editing is one of the things I enjoy most and one of my biggest creative outlets. I love to capture the unique connections each family has and it brings me so much joy knowing I helped create memories that will last forever. Don’t let self doubt, wardrobe styling or wild kids hold you back from booking a session, I’ve got it all covered.

My goal is to make your photoshoot a fun and enjoyable experience for all, (even grumpy dads). At my sessions we run, play, laugh and give each other big hugs! Don’t be surprised if I ask your kids about who has the stinkiest feet or the loudest farts to capture those authentic smiles and laughs.
When you book with me you’ll get a style guide and access to Style&Select, a digital styling service with shoppable links. You can also use it for inspiration for items you already own.
With three kids of my own I can ensure you that I’ve seen it all. It’s perfectly normal for kids to have lots of energy during a photoshoot. In fact, that energy often translates into those candid, lively shots that parents cherish. Sometimes the most authentic and beautiful moments happen when kids are just being kids! I love to incorporate personal items which has meaning to you in our shoot. This could be an instrument, a few skateboards or an old vintage car to better tell your family’s story. I can’t wait to meet you and your loved ones and create something magical together!

"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce."
